Abstract
|

|
The diaphragmatic hernia through Bochdalek foramen is congenital and its attributable factor is inborn defect in pleuroperitonealcanal of posterolateral region of diaphragm.
Most of them has been reported in newborn infant by various authors, but adult Bochdalek hernia also scatteredly reported. The Bochdalek hernia in adult is different from infantile type in the aspects of clinical symptomatology and prognosis,
We have experienced a typical left BochThe herniated contents were stomach, spleen and greater omentum. Reduction and repair were carried out via transabdominal approach. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged on the 15th postoperative day.
We present the case and reviewed the literatures briefly.
